This is the website of Bert Schreurs, PhD. We are responsible for the personal data described below.

If you have any question about your data, please contact us.

When you fill in the contact form we keep your name, your email address, your phone number if you provide one, your message, and which language of the site you were using. We also send you a confirmation email containing a copy of your message.

We also store a one-way scrambled version of your IP address. It is used only to limit how many messages can be sent and to block automated ones, and it cannot be turned back into your address.

We keep no visitor statistics. We do no advertising and no profiling, and we do not buy or sell data.

Only to read your message and reply to it, and to protect the site from abuse. We use it for nothing else and we do not send you marketing.

The legal basis is our legitimate interest in answering people who contact us, and taking steps at your request before entering into a contract.

Messages sent through the form are deleted automatically after 24 months. You can ask us to delete yours sooner.

We do not sell your data or pass it to anyone for their own marketing. It passes only through the technical providers needed to run the site: Cloudflare, which hosts and protects this website and our email provider, which delivers the message to our mailbox.

These providers act on our instructions and may not use your data for their own purposes. Some may process data outside the European Union, under the safeguards European law requires.

This website uses no tracking or analytics cookies. That is why you are not asked to accept anything.

There is exactly one cookie: it is set when the owner signs in to the private part of the site, to keep them signed in. It is strictly necessary and does not apply to visitors.

You can ask to see your data, to have it corrected or deleted, and to object to us using it. Write to us and we will act on it.

If you believe we handle your data improperly, you may complain to the Belgian Data Protection Authority (www.dataprotectionauthority.be).
